Core Theatre & Gallery

The Core Theatre is a multi-purpose venue located within The Core – Solihull’s flagship community building in central Solihull adjacent to Touchwood.

Comprising; Main Theatre, Studio and Gallery the popular venue hosts a wide variety of events including live theatre, film and live screenings, a varied programme of professional touring shows, popular pantomime plus community events throughout the year.

The Core offers health and fitness classes, art, photography plus varied craft and creative courses for all ages plus a wide range of community and cultural celebrations and activities.

Home to the hugely popular Solihull BookFest, a wide range of library-related activities and live events are promoted year round. The light and airy Courtyard Gallery is a hireable exhibition space always worth a visit.

Encore Café bar overlooks Theatre Square opens for breakfast and hot lunches plus an evening Theatre bar.
Other facilities at The Core include; Theatre hearing loop, wheelchair spaces, boosters seats, two customer lifts, disabled toilets plus a fully equipped ‘Changing Places’ facility. The bright and spacious building is fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. Guide dogs are welcome.
