Dinosaur Fridays at Resorts World Birmingham
Free Dinosaur Fridays return to Resorts World Birmingham this summer, bringing a different prehistoric adventure to the atrium every Friday from 24 July to 28 August.
Taking place from 10am to 4pm, the free family event features a packed programme of dinosaur-themed entertainment, with the main live activities running between 11am and 2.30pm. Each week offers something different, giving families a reason to come back throughout the school holidays.
Visitors can meet a range of life-sized animatronic dinosaurs, including a towering Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Brontosaurus and Raptor, as well as adorable baby dinosaurs. Every dinosaur appearance is accompanied by trained Dinosaur Rangers, who introduce each prehistoric creature and help bring the Jurassic world to life.
Selected Fridays also include Dinosaur Ranger Training, where children can learn how to care for and safely handle dinosaurs alongside qualified Dinosaur Rangers. The interactive sessions last approximately 20 minutes, with places allocated on the day.
The programme also features Jurassic story time sessions with baby dinosaurs, giving younger visitors the chance to enjoy dinosaur-themed stories before meeting one of the smaller prehistoric stars. On selected dates, Comedy Cavemen will also be performing throughout the day with family-friendly comedy, slapstick routines and prehistoric antics.
The popular Dino Hunt also returns for the summer, with children invited to search around Resorts World for hidden dinosaurs. Hunt sheets are available from the event team in the atrium, with the activity running throughout the day from 10am until 4pm.
Magic Russ will also be at Resorts World on most Fridays between 11am and 3pm, creating balloon models for visitors, with 50% of proceeds donated to Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Please note Magic Russ will not be attending on 31 July or 21 August.
Families can also collect a Children’s Adventurer Passport during their visit, earning colourful stamps at Resorts World’s family events throughout the year as they work towards special rewards.
Alongside the free entertainment, visitors can enjoy Resorts World’s selection of restaurants, cafés, shops and attractions, making it easy to turn a visit into a full family day out.
Suitable for most ages. Children must be supervised at all times. Standard Resorts World parking charges apply.
