The Lunar Society Annual Dinner 2023
The education charity, membership and debating organisation the Lunar Society invites you to join us at our Annual Dinner on the 22nd September 2023. This event will be a fantastic opportunity to engage with community, business, academic and creative leaders, young rising stars and their supporters, and to meet our members, our friendly Executive Board of Trustees and fantastic team of volunteers. With an amazing 3-course meal and other attractions, this promises to be an evening you do not want to miss.
We are delighted to announce that Professor Robert Beckford, Director of the Institute of Climate and Social Justice at the University of Winchester will be speaking at the event. Professor Beckford is an activist scholar and BAFTA Award winning documentary film maker, amongst his many accomplishments, whose work encompasses the interface between religion, ethnicity, and social justice.
Professor Beckford will be joined by Tom Wedgwood, the direct descendant of one of our forebears Josiah Wedgwood.
The Annual Dinner will take place at Copt Heath Golf Club, 1220 Warwick Road, Knowle, Solihull, B93 9LN and commences at 1900 with a pre-dinner reception and live music played by a superb classically trained pianist. There will be a cash bar on the evening, as well as an opportunity to pre-order wine upon booking. There will be a Raffle taking place during the evening to raise funds for our projects and our new student bursary award initiative. Please note that the dress code is national dress or formal wear.
