Explore Solihull’s Parks in Minecraft: A New Way to Connect with Nature

Solihull’s beloved town centre parks, Malvern and Brueton, have been brought to life in a whole new way. Thanks to an innovative project commissioned by Solihull Council, these green spaces are now accessible in Minecraft, offering a safe, vibrant, and interactive experience that can be enjoyed from anywhere in the world, day or night.

Designed by young adults with learning disabilities at Newlands Bishop Farm, the digital parks are part of the Council’s wider commitment to improving accessibility and inclusivity across the borough. Whether you’re a local resident, a curious visitor, or someone who faces barriers to accessing physical spaces, this virtual experience opens up new possibilities for exploration and engagement.

• Embark on a guided scavenger hunt starting at the Malvern Park gates (coordinates: 2050, 100, 2090) and unlock the winner’s treasure chest
• Discover over 50 interactive characters and uncover hidden secrets
• Track down five wandering animals and learn their names

To ensure a safe and welcoming environment, chat and communication functions have been disabled, and the parks are protected from edits—so everyone can enjoy the experience as intended.

Solihull primary schools can apply for creative access, allowing pupils to build on and edit the parks as part of classroom learning. It’s a fantastic way to spark imagination and discussion around topics like:
