Join Touchwood for a Summer Celebration of Community Spirit

This Summer, Touchwood Solihull is thrilled to present a vibrant programme of community-led events, bringing together people, culture, and joy through a series of free, family-friendly celebrations.

Join us in Theatre Square on Saturday 21 June for an uplifting afternoon of free entertainment and activities celebrating the rich diversity of Solihull. From Afghan and Ukrainian music to Hong Kong dance, Bollywood beats, Tango, Salsa, and steel pan rhythms, the day features a packed programme of live performances, DJ sets, workshops, face painting, and Mehndi. Highlights include the Sonia Sabri Company’s Mughal Miniatures, Vinochok Ukrainian Children’s Band, Wan Sheung Dance Group, and much more—all compered by the energetic Sohan Kailey.

Celebrate the joy of Eid al-Adha with a fun-filled family day out. On Sunday 22 June, the centre will come alive with spectacular live performances from a vibrant lineup of talent, including the incredible Mikhaael Mala, Ensemble Safaa, the Fahira Hasedzic Folk Group, Serena Khan, Anas Salim, and many more!

Guests can get creative in interactive workshops led by brilliant British Muslim artists, with inspiring activities suitable for all ages—from crafts and storytelling to calligraphy and henna.

Plus, enjoy special Eid Discounts across a fantastic range of food outlets and selected retailers throughout Touchwood.

Between Friday 27 to Sunday 29 June, Theatre Square will host Solihull’s first-ever Choir Festival. Over 25 choirs—from youth to adult community groups—will perform across the weekend (10 am–6 pm daily), with workshops (like Introduction to Opera, Gospel, a cappella) and a networking evening for choir leaders.

Finally, on Saturday 12 July join us for Touchwood’s first ever Mela festival with a vibrant day of music, dance, food, and family fun, in partnership with Solihull Seva. Taking place across Theatre Square and Jubilee Walk, the event features Bhangra and dhol workshops, a magic show, live cooking demos, and performances from Ace Jalaf, DJ Mix Singh, Drum Culture, DJ Jeeves, and headliner Dr Zeus. Enjoy arts & crafts, henna, face painting, games, raffles, and a lively dance-off finale with a prize for the best dancer. Bring the whole family for a colourful, cultural celebration—everyone’s welcome!
